Brandon Valley School District

The Brandon Valley School District was originated in 1962 reorganizing with the Valley Springs School District, Brandon School District and twelve common school districts creating one district.  This new district encompasses 128 square miles bordering Sioux Falls to the west, Minnesota and Iowa to the east, Canton to the south and Garretson to the north. The district has a high school, middle school, intermediate school, and four elementary schools.

Brandon Valley School District is fortunate to be one of the very few districts in the state of South Dakota that is enjoying growth in the number of students and taxable valuation.  The growth of our enrollment places Brandon Valley in a very favorable financial position that enables the district to maintain small class sizes and provide a complete curriculum for the students.  Small class sizes also contribute to the fact that Brandon Valley test scores are among the highest in our conference.
