Building Permits

The Planning and Zoning Board meets on an as-need basis.  To request a meeting, please call Blaine Eilts, the Zoning Administrator at 605-757-6553 or 605-212-9368.

 

Building Permits may be obtained from Samantha at the City Hall Office at 401 Broadway Ave.  Permits are issued upon request unless it is new construction, a large remodeling project or a variance, rezoning or conditional use permit is involved.  If a permit is in question it will be referred to the Planning and Zoning Board or Building Inspector before being issued.

Building permits are needed for new construction, remodeling, reshingling, finishing space, replacement, as well as for fences, decks, garages, driveways, sheds, etc.
