The Valley Springs Fire Department is a volunteer organization serving the City of Valley Springs since May 6, 1889.  The department includes EMT’s, paramedics, first responders and certified weather spotters.  All members are certified firefighters at different levels. The Fire Department holds monthly meetings and one training meeting each month.  Along with firefighting duties, they aid in injury accident calls and provide mutual aid to neighboring towns.
